That would be the most horrible thing ever. So much harder to survive.

It would be harder to survive but with any infection there would be immunities or mutations, like Robert Neville in I Am Legend. In that zombie universe they were more of vampires but the virus was airborne. And there were people who were immune to it.

True, but its hard to say something is or isn't when we are the first species to evolve this far, that we know of. So in reality everything we say about survivalism, intellect, and evolution is a bias.

If it was airborne and lets say was a gov't based bio-weapon there would be VERY few if any immunities. Chances are it would be let loose in a populated area but wouldnt be able to spread too far so tho EVERYONE in that city has like 0% of survival we would have the same as bloodborne unless the winds carried it hear. But the closet to a "zombie" virus thats possible is i think this: A mutated form of rabies. If they can geneticlly Make rabies not kill its host after like a week and not cause any of the symtpoms like blindness and such then it could be more like 28 days later acting butwould be more of a zombie mentality since there not "mad" so to speak just really hungry lol
