You have me a bit confused when you say you hope Ryan's gun would jam. Which gun would that be, the hunting rifle...which are usually single shot and dont jam? Or perhaps the revolver, which doesnt jam? See, why grab a hunting rifle? Why grab a 6 shot revolver instead of a 9, 12, or 15 round semi auto? Also, wouldnt it make more sende to all grab the same calibre, so as to utilize the same ammo, not have confusion over reloading, etc? Also, you would want to grab a calibre that has plentiful ammo, like a 9mm, and not hard to find like .357, or whatever the hell you had "Ryan" grab? Just wondering. The rest of it is pretty good.

im going to revise some parts of the journal at the end of this infection week,  and thank you for pointing this out

the other part im revising is when they are getting their guns because i kinda rushed that part and it seems kinda squished.

A bolt action rifle if i remember correctly can still jam tho it isnt as easy as o say an M-16 A1 from the vietnam era whitch was crap compared to an AK-47. Also the character of ryan is supossed to be less of a thinking person on those kind of things and more of a cocky dick, "Ryan took nothing and declared it would only hinder his movement."

I don't know if I should be saying this in this thread or my own, but in infection week 1, Nov. 17th (I think) you make it sound like the man that got eaten alive first (after running out of his house and shooting zombies with his pistol) turns into a zombie almost immediately after being infected. However, a previous date says that the government says it takes anywhere from 12-36 hours for zombification. This small inconsistancy is just that, small, but for other readers (if this becomes a book) could seem like a major flaw with the story.

I just went to edit it but i hadn't read it all the way through...

this is the piece:

"Anyone bitten by an infected host will turn into one of the walking deceased a short while after the time of death or until the virus has taken its time to fullytake over the brain, which in studies presented itself as beinganywhere from 12 to 36 hours."

it does state a short time after death.

should this be reworded or does it sound okay?

if the person is still living and bitten it takes 12-36 hours.

Well I think that it sounds right, though I am no editor nor am I to good with grammar.

I also have a question of my own, when they are staying at the train station it is only a matter of days after the inital infection, so why would a train station that was operating prior to this be in such a bad condition? I think that if you were to say that there seems to be minor fire  damage or something like that would make flush out the the fault there. This is just how I interpreted it but if i missed something feel free to correct me.
